Cows is a Resto Druid playing on EU-Al’Akir as a member of the hardcore raiding guild Apex. At time of writing Apex are ranked #1 on the server, #14 in Europe and #25 in the world at the end of t8 content (yogg0).

Cows is an experienced MMO player having first started with Ultima Online back in 1997 (best mmo there has ever been!), progressed to DAoC in 2000 and then to WoW a few weeks after European launch (2006). His first main character was ‘Beefy’ the orc warrior in a guild made up of mostly ex-daoc Excalibur server players on the EU-Burning Legion server, leading and main tanking multi-guild Molten core raids without the aid of a vent was (*cough*) fun!

With the advent of AQ20/40 he took a break from WoW in order to focus on University studies, coming back to to the game at the European launch of The Burning Crusade with the creation of ‘Mooie’ the blood elf paladin, on EU-Al’akir. Powerleveling the paladin to 70 he quickly found he wanted to focus on the healing aspect of the game instead of tanking and originally joined an ex-pvp-now-more-pve orientated guild called Bad Karma. Bad Karma had fun in Karazhan but didn’t have enough people to affectively raid SSC or TK25 and so when Accipiter (then GM of Bad Karma) offered the chance to team up with some Ex-Kalevased players in a new guild which was going to focus on hardcore pve progress he signed up.

Apex was born and became the #2 guild on the server very quickly behind Darkstorm in t5 content (SSC+TK). Once attuned to Black Temple Apex capitalized on their success by overtaking Darkstorm to kill Reliquary of Souls before them, then clearing the rest of the instance over the following weeks to become server #1.

A few weeks before Sunwell came out Mooie the holy paladin was retired due to RL commitments, but he came back in Febuary of 2009 this time re rolled to Cows the resto druid (as Apex lacked resto druids at the time).

About a month later Ulduar was released and Cows and his ‘Cake’ spam in Ulduar general chat became a regular fixture.
